Catalogue of a most interesting collection of Egyptian antiquities, principally found at Thebes and Abydos, during the years 1818, 19, 20 and 21, among the most interesting articles will be found a sphinx in basalt, eleven inches long, and eight inches high, unique, an obelisk in calcareous stone, 28 inches high, in a beautiful state of preservation, a magnificent set of the four vases, in alabaster, representing the four fellow genii, unique, other interesting vases in alabaster, &c., a most extensive and interesting collection of above three hundred scarabaei, inscribed with hieroglyphical inscriptions and numerous cartouches, six unrolled & perfect papyri, including two contracts in the demotic character, a series of thirty sepulchral tablets in stone, all in the most extraordinary state of preservation, numerous bronzes, also a most extensive & complete collection of all the objects of Egyptian worship, represented in gold, lapis lazuli, enamel, &c.; which will be sold by auction by Mr Sotheby and son ... on Monday, the 13th of May, 1833, and two following days
