In a series of articles in GM the author has proposed a short chronology for the end of the 20th Dynasty. In this article the careers of the viceroy of Nubia Panehsy and the High Priest of Amun Amenhotep are studied within this framework. Sources from the time of Ramses X are interpreted in the light of the 'War against the High Priest' (P. BM 10052, 13,24). The implications of the reascription of the Turin Taxation Papyrus to the Renaissance are discussed. A series of questions is raised about Piankh's so called 'campaign against Panehsy' to show just how little we really know about this subject. A short chronological list of Late 20th Dynasty Viceroys is included.
