In this article it is demonstrated that ỉtn meaning in fact only 'disc' is a word to designate any kind of celestial phenomenon in a general manner, the specific meaning depending on context. For ỉtn.t, it is argued that the 'female disc' designates Sothis-Sirius and that even the word rꜤt is just a metaphor for the splendor of this star.
