The article deals with the phenomenon of the 'sacred triangle'. A hypothesis is offered showing its possible solar origin in ancient Egypt and its use by the Egyptians in the monumental architecture. In connection with the 'sacred triangle', the attention is also focused on the names of two daytime hours used in the later period of Egyptian history.
