Publication of Papyrus Duke Inv. 800. The manuscript dates from the ptolemaic time. Its content can be identified as the 'Great Liturgy of Geb' already known from several other late period religious papyri. The new manuscript helps to fill some lacunae in the text. However, the problems in understanding the composition remain very great. This is due mainly to the lack of clear indications for the acts performed during the recitations. The special writing system used for this liturgy is compared to similar tendencies in the sumerian lamentations.
