AB  - The paper considers a hymn invoking Amun-Re of Karnak and Hibis to  awaken, along with a parallel preserved in the edifice of Taharqa at  Karnak. A translation and commentary are followed by an analysis of the  structure of the ten individual invocation lines and of the structure of  the ten lines as a whole; of the relationship between this hymn and its  accompanying hymnic material; of the relationship between these texts  and the remaining hymnic material in the room where it is attested; of  the location of the hymn in the temple of Hibis; and of the location of  its parallel at Karnak, along with a reassessment of the ritual purpose  of the underground rooms there.
